We were blessed to receive a lot of baby gifts when our little boy J was born. While I appreciate each and every one, there was one item in particular that was just perfect!

A delicate laundry bag!
Now that might just sound like the oddest gift to get all excited about, but I truly did. Well, let’s be honest here… At first I looked at the gift like it was a three-headed monster because I didn’t know why someone would get me a delicate laundry bag as a baby gift. But thankfully she had attached a little note to it saying, “Use these to wash those baby socks without them getting lost!”
It took me a second, but then I realized just how cool this gift really was. After using it just once, I was hooked! I can wash little man’s socks, hats, mittens, and other small things without them getting lost. Better yet – I can throw some of my items in as well. For example, I also use it to wash my reusable nursing pads. I’ve even thrown my own socks in from time to time, just because the bag wasn’t that full and I wanted to get a full load. (When you’re apartment dwelling and using quarters for laundry, you make every load count!)
The crazy part – I didn’t even know it existed, that I needed it, or just how helpful it would be! Maybe I was a totally clueless, new mom. But – just in case – I wanted to share this here on the blog so others can learn just how awesome this is as well!
If you are a new mom, make sure to put a delicate laundry bag on your baby registry! Or, if you’re buying for a new mom, make sure to make this purchase. Better yet – buy a set of three and you’ll have three baby gifts all ready to give out.
