Bagel Dip.
I feel like those two little words alone should speak for themselves, but I suppose they don’t – unless of course you’ve tried this recipe before. This easy, two ingredient bagel dip is da bomb! {No, I don’t typically talk like that. I was hoping it would get massive responses that way! 😉 }
Regardless, this easy bagel dip is something you definitely need to try out. When I take it to school to put in the staff lounge, it’s typically gone by lunch. When I take it over for the guys to eat while watching a game, it’s gone before halftime. It’s a crowd favorite, regardless of the crowd!
You’re going to love this recipe, especially when you see how easy it is!
First, you need to get your hands on some sour cream. How much you need is up to you. If you’re serving a large crowd, I recommend two 16 ounce containers when I’m feeding a larger crowd. If a small, family size is what you’re going for, eight ounces will work.
Then you need to get the same amount of French Onion dip. Use your favorite brand here. Mine just happens to be Land O Lakes.
Mix those together.
Done!
Seriously. That’s it!
Now all you need to do is break up your favorite bagels into dippable, bite size pieces. They’ll be perfect for dipping in the awesome deliciousness that is bagel dip.
If you’re not a bagel fan, you can always use Ritz or Club crackers. Both are pretty yummy, but I’m a sucker for the bagels themselves.
Another thing you can do – although it’s certainly not required – is to chop up some roast beef and include it with your dip. You can use fresh ground beef, deli style, or even the kind that comes in a little can. My mom won’t eat bagel dip without this ingredient, but I find it optional. (So if you’re looking to save a few bucks, just skip it!)
So just simply grab equal amounts of your favorite brand of sour cream and French onion dip. Combine them. Add some chopped roast beef, if you’d like, and serve them up with bagels or your favorite crackers. That’s it!
Bagel dip is a great appetizer or side for a party, but it’s also a great snack food if you’re not counting your calories. Give it a try today! You won’t be disappointed!
