I’m going to let you in on a little secret — I LOVE to eat! Portion control and I have some issues, but I’m slowly getting better. Anyway – this cavatini recipe is a favorite of mine! My parents have made it for as long as I can remember. One friend in elementary/high school always begged for this each time she came over to the house. The best part? It’s super simple to make!
Here’s what you need to get started:
- noodles – any kind will do!
- pizza sauce
- pepperoni
- hamburger (ground beef – although I’m sure ground turkey or sausage would work as well!)
- cheese
Cook your noodles according to the package. Brown your hamburger. I also like to season my hamburger. Whether you do is your choice.
Mix together the drained ground beef, pizza sauce, and the pepperoni.
Spray your 9×13 pan, then add the noddles and meat mixture.
Mix well.
Add the cheese on top.
At this point I put it in the oven and cook it for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
If you are short on time, you could simply mix it all together (making sure the cheese gets a bit melted) and serve it.
This also works well as a freezer meal! Prepare it up to the point above, and put it in the freezer covered. I recommend using it within a month’s time.
Here’s the recipe with directions all in one place for those of you who want to print it out!
Happy Cooking!
