I can remember my mom making peaches and cream growing up. It’s a great summer treat when peaches are in their prime! Now that I’m trying to choose healthier food options, this isn’t exactly the most ideal dessert from a calorie standpoint. With that in mind, I set out to create a lesser calorie version that I still find tasty.
It’s really quite easy!
Take a peach. Cut it up. Add 1/2 cup milk. (I use skim to keep calories at their lowest.) Add 1 teaspoon sugar if desired.
That’s it! Really! I find it incredibly delicious and refreshing on those hot summer days when you’re craving something sweet.
