I recently was craving something sweet – but yet I didn’t want to totally fall off the healthy eating train! What’s a girl to do?
Thankfully I have an entire Pinterest board devoted to healthy living and it just happens to have a LOT of tasty food on it!
While browsing through my board, I came across this recipe for Apple Nachos from Shugary Sweet. I knew right away they were EXACTLY what I needed!
Now this is where Pinterest and I have problems. You see, I didn’t actually go to the recipe. I just assumed (and you know what happens when you assume things!) that I knew how to make these delicious looking apples. So I went for it…
Only after we made the nachos did we realize that they look nothing like the picture from Shugary Sweets. So we had to go and actually read the recipe. Turns out she uses actual caramels, peanuts, chocolate chips, evaporated milk, and marshmallows. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
Ha – ok, so we did have time…but…we ended up using just caramel and chocolate sauce. I guess these are a whole lot healthier than the original post I saw, and they got me over my sweet tooth! (But I will be trying them the correct way at some point!)
Tell me – what’s something you’ve tried on Pinterest that didn’t turn out, but yet did in its own way all at the same time?
