Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my little part of the internet. While you’re here, I can’t wait to share my experiences with saving money, parenting, various recipes, and much more.
This is a blog about my life, and I hope to help and inspire others through it along the way. I’m Heather, but most know me better as HoJo. I live in South Dakota with my two children. My goal here is to share practical, frugal, everyday tips you can use. You can read about how we have paid off $70,000 in debt (including student loans) and finding other ways to save.
I taught in South Dakota public school for seven years before becoming a K-6 principal and K-12 special education director. After the birth of our son in 2015 (and the blood clots that followed!), my priorities changed. That fall I stayed home to raise our son full-time. Now I do virtual assistant work for several companies and bloggers, run this blog, blog at HoJo’s Teaching Adventures, help people live healthier lives, and help make lesson planning easier for teachers with various games and printables.
I’ve been creating various websites on the internet since high school – or the early 2000s. Wow! That means I already have over 20 years into this gig. That also explains why I love my two blogs and the VA work I do for others.
Our family does not have the cleanest house, best organization system, or perfect relationships. But we do have love, honesty, and communication. We also have a strong belief in God.
If you want to continue on the journey of life with us, we’d love for you to follow us in any of the ways listed below!
Welcome to my blog! Thank you for being here!
~Heather aka HoJo~
